Rea N. Waldon
Rea N. Waldon, Ph.D. is President/CEO of KDDK Legacy Group LLC. KDDK focuses on coaching business owners about how to identify and document policies and procedures that ensure operational excellence. Prior to establishing KDDK, Dr. Waldon was Chief Operating Officer for the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio. She also served as Executive Director of the Ohio River Valley Women’s Business Council, a Regional Partner Organization for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Dr. Waldon has a solid background in strategic planning as well as work experience in banking, education, workforce development, healthcare, business and community development. Prior to joining the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio she was as a community development officer for PNC Bank. Dr. Waldon has been recognized as a Cincinnati Business Courier Mentor of the Year and is the recipient of the Women of Color Foundation’s ISIS Award. She currently serves the board of the Cincinnati Development Fund and was a member of WBENC’s Board of Directors. She is also involved in several community based boards and committees.
Dr. Waldon received her Ph.D. from the Union Institute and University where her studies focused on public policy and urban economics. She also holds a M.A. from Antioch College in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor B.S. in Accounting from the Union Institute and University. In addition, she has received and participated in industry based training including Retail Bank Management, Experiential Classroom training for entrepreneurs and Non Profit Leadership development.
Rashaan Boyd is the founder and pastor of Grace Christian Church, a multicultural non-denominational church located in Cincinnati, OH. The church focuses on discipleship training, community outreach and volunteerism. Pastor Boyd is also the owner of two small business enterprises. A renovations contracting services company specializing in interior finishes and a landscaping company focused on residential lawn care.
Pastor Boyd is currently engaged in several community leadership endeavors including Bond Hill Community Council Executive Board Secretary, Bond Hill Community Council Safe and Sound and Beautification Committees Chair, Creating Healthy Communities Coalition Member, Community Equity Initiative and the Collective Empowerment Group member.
Pastor Boyd received his Associates of Applied Business in Business Management Degree from Brown Mackie College Cincinnati. He is married to Marcia and is the father of two, Rashaan Jr. and Amaya.
Kathi A. Ranford
Mrs. Ranford enjoyed a 30-year career in public service having worked for the City of Chillicothe, City of Durham, North Carolina and the City of Cincinnati. She worked in the areas of Contract Compliance, Minority and Small Business and Community Development.
She is a 10-year resident of Bond Hill and believes that this neighborhood is uniquely positioned for great things. With the help of the residents in the neighborhood who are passionate about this community, changes will certainly come and she wanted to be involved in these changes. It is her honor to serve as corresponding secretary.
